The Rhythm Is Life Steel Band formed in 2005 to provide a learning lab for band directors who were teaching pan in their schools, but lacked experience in the art and traditions of steel band.  Since then, the band has become quite popular at pan festivals and parties looking for a sophisticated, yet fun and funky vibe.  Our sound mixes Caribbean island music (calypso, soca, and reggae) with rock, pop, and other musics from around the world. Our shows are energetic and visceral, and our audiences can’t help but dance and feel alright!
